Holly Bears

To understand the cuteness of the comment by Sage that I'm about to relate, you have to understand that one of Sage's favorite bedtime songs is the first verse of "The Holly and the Ivy" which starts something like:

Oh the holly and the ivy
When they are both full grown
Of all the trees that are in the wood
The holly bears the crown.

We went to the arboretum this past weekend and walked through the woods. I pointed out some ivy growing up a tree (and forgive me if what I call ivy out here is actually something else… it *looks* like ivy) and Sage was excited:

Me: "See that ivy on that tree?"
Sage: "Is that ivy?"
Me: "Yes!"
Sage: "Where are the holly bears?"

I would very much like to know how Sage pictures Holly Bears in her imagination. I think they must be unbelievably adorable.

Sage - Spontaneous Modern Dance

Sage decided to put on a spontaneous performance while she had a captive audience.

Notes:

1. Despite dancing much of this with her eyes closed, she did not hit the (very heavy, actually) coffee table.
3. Sage is awesome.

Flint discovers light

We no longer discover fire, we discover compact fluorescents.

Sage Painting

Grandma Schoonover took this photo when she visited early January. Sage put on her favorite smock from grandpa/grandma so she could paint.

Sage is *shocked* at these 2010 projections.

Flint is unimpressed, however.
